Let me begin by saying, "I AM SAVED BY GRACE AND BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST. I BELIEVE HE DIED ON THE CROSS AND ON THE THIRD DAY ROSE FROM THE GRAVE; HE IS COMING BACK FOR ME, BUT UNTIL THEN, I WILL PRAY AND READ MY BIBLE DAILY, TEACH CHRISTIAN CHARACTER, DISCUSS JESUS AND TEACH THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS TO MY CLASS.
I do believe I would not be doing my Christian duty if I did not have the plan of salvation on my webpage. Please PRAY if you have any doubt that you are not going to heaven.
God does not make it hard for us to get to Him; We make it hard for Him to get to us.

Also, let me say, "Yes, your child is in good hands." Let's get all the credentials out of the way so we can get to the meat of it all. Here are my credentials, even though, I do not believe they mean very much if your child is not learning what is necessary in the classroom to move to the next level of learning.
CERTIFICATIONS, QUALIFICATIONS, and EDUCATION
Now, who am I? I am a native of Cherokee County. I have a Master's degree in education, and have taught for a total of 16 years (10 years in public school systems and 6 homeschooling). I have taught 5th grade for 6 years. I have been married to my high school sweet-heart, Shane, for 22 (together total 26) years. He owns an auction company called Swafford Auction Group, and we have identical twin sons, age 17 (pray for us because they are driving) who are the best children in the world. They attend Coosa Christian School and won the high school talent show (brag time) this year . We also pastor at Grace Pointe Church of God in Centre, AL. We have been pastoring for 12 years.
I firmly believe that every child is entitled to an enriching education. My philosophy is that every child has a place in this world and that no one child is better than the other no matter what abilities he or she may hold. We all have something to give this world, but it is up to us- as teachers- to give each child all the necessary tools to carve out his/her place. I do not treat any other child differently than the other. I do not care who the parent is nor do I care about status or popularity in my room. I care about each child feeling a part of something special. My goal is to embrace every student with love, motivation, and encouragement and helping all children find their inner strengths and abilities. I feel that I do this through games, groups, discussion, hands-on activities, and reaching learning styles.
It will take us all working together to accomplish these goals, of establishing unity and seeing sparks and excitement flame in each other. It will take you, the parents, and I working hand in hand to make this school year the best it can be. Please check out the parent involvement section under "Rising Fifth Graders" to see what you can do to become involved in helping your child become a "Super Hero" this year. COMING SOON
